The Department of Computer Science, Vishwakarma University organized an enriching industry visit to WILO on 22nd February 2025. A group of 27 students, accompanied by faculty members Dr. Sonali Powar and Dr. Rajkumar Jagdale, had the opportunity to explore the water pump manufacturing process—from raw materials to final products.
Through informative presentations and a guided plant tour, students gained valuable insights into product testing, quality control, and industry best practices. This visit served as a bridge between academic learning and real-world industry applications, enhancing their understanding of manufacturing and technology.
A heartfelt thanks to Dean Prof. Kailas Patil, Associate Dean Prof. Sandip Thite, and Prof. Nitin Satpute for their support and guidance in making this visit a truly valuable experience for our students.

The Department of Computer Science at Vishwakarma University organized an industry visit to Infosys Limited, Hinjewadi, Pune on 22nd February 2025. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to IT industry operations, career opportunities, and workplace culture.

A total of 46 students from B.Sc. and M.Sc. Computer Science programs, along with four faculty members, participated in the visit: Prof. Shriprada Chaturbhuj, Dr. Anupriya Kamble, Dr. Mayur Deshmukh, Ms. Vandana Tanpure

Objective of the visit was to provide insights into the working environment of an IT company, to help students understand career opportunities, recruitment processes, and industry expectations, To expose students to real-world applications of software development and IT services, to enhance students' interaction with industry professionals.
The visit was coordinated by Ms. Shriprada Chaturbhuj, VU and Ms. Tejashri, Associate Lead HR from Infosys, who ensured a smooth and engaging experience for all participants. Ms. Sonali Tembe, the speaker for the event, interacted with students and delivered a session covering: Infosys work culture and operations, Various career opportunities in Infosys and the IT sector, Application process and recruitment criteria, Preparation strategies for industry roles and interviews. The session was highly interactive and informative, with students asking relevant questions about career growth, technical skills, and job expectations.
After the session, a campus tour was arranged, allowing students to witness: Infosys workspaces and development centers, State-of-the-art IT infrastructure, Collaborative work culture and technological advancements. The hospitality extended by Infosys was warm and professional, making the visit a memorable learning experience.
The industry visit to Infosys Limited was a great success, providing students with immense knowledge and motivation to prepare for the IT industry. The visit concluded on a positive note, with students expressing their happiness and appreciation for the learning experience.
The Department of Computer Science extends its gratitude to Infosys Limited for their support and hospitality and looks forward to more such industry collaborations in the future.

Open Ideas National Competition 2024 - Season IV

I was Honored to receive recognition for my invaluable guidance in helping students develop innovative solutions for affordable housing by Ar Pratima Joshi. My contribution to the program was highly appreciated.

Additionally, I am privileged to serve as a jury panelist for the Housing Studio Season IV – Open Ideas National Competition 2024, organized by Anagha  Kirtee sir  & Paranjape Purohit mam the organizers from Habitat Forum (INHAF) and Sustainability Initiatives (SI) .  Also our field mentor Rahul Malwadkar sir for his constant guidance and support to our students. This initiative continues to inspire creative, sustainable solutions for small-space design.

As a result of this engagement, my student Saadiya Ansari was awarded a Special Mention with a prize money of ₹10,000 for her outstanding work and innovative solution submitted in the competition. Proud to witness young architects being recognized for their impactful contributions!
