Objective:
The program aimed to create awareness among students about higher education opportunities abroad, guiding them through the process of admissions, test preparation, and career planning. The session provided valuable insights into selecting suitable universities, understanding the application process, and preparing for international entrance exams, thereby helping students make informed career decisions.

Program Highlights:

The event was organized by the Training and Placement Cell in collaboration with the Department of Artificial Intelligence, Faculty of Science & Technology, Vishwakarma University, and Jamboree Education Private Limited. The session was conducted by Satmita Banerjee, Abroad Education Consultant from Jamboree Education Pvt. Ltd., who guided students on admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, visa processes, and preparation strategies for exams such as GRE, GMAT, SAT, IELTS, and TOEFL. The interactive session encouraged student participation through Q&A rounds, personalized counselling, and sharing of success stories from previous aspirants. Students gained a clearer roadmap to achieve their international academic and career goals.

Diksharambh (Induction Program)

A three day induction programme “Diksharambh” was planned and executed from 4th August 2025 to 6th August 2025 in the Vishwakarma University Campus for the newly admitted First Year D. Pharmacy & B. Pharmacy students. During these three days, the students were informed about the vision, mission, objectives and the expected outcome from the Course they have chosen. They were informed about the Rules and Regulations of the University; PCI curriculum & Examination Pattern; Scope and Career growth in the Pharma Field. They were guided and warmly welcomed into the University online by Hon. Vice Chancellor and Vice President Sir on Day 1 of the induction programme. The COE, Training & Placement department and other administrative officials guided the first year students online. On the second day, the students had a tour of their laboratory and classrooms and were guided by their respective class teachers followed by interactions with their seniors. Third day, the students are made aware of their theory and practical subjects, internal and annual (D.Pharm.) End semester (B.Pharm.) examinations followed by Student’s activity.

Introduction:

To bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical applications in modern data technologies, the Department of Mathematics & Statistics, Faculty of Science & Technology, Vishwakarma University, Pune, organized a 5-Day Workshop on Data Science, Power BI & SQL from Monday, 27th January 2025 to Friday, 31st January 2025.
The workshop was conducted under the vibrant student-led club “Infinity & Beyond”, with immense support from the faculty and students. It witnessed active participation from 100+ students across various departments, who were trained by domain experts in Statistical Methods, SQL, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Power BI Visualization.
The event took place across VU Building No. 1 and Building No. 2, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day, and included both theoretical discussions and practical hands-on sessions.

Objective:


The primary goals of this workshop were:

  • To impart essential and emerging skills in Data Science, SQL, and Business Intelligence tools.
  • To provide hands-on experience in data analysis and visualization using Power BI.
  • To introduce students to real-world datasets, data visualization, and AI-based data analysis.
  • To build interdisciplinary knowledge among students from diverse academic backgrounds.
  • To explore career opportunities in Data Science, Analytics, and Drone Technology.
  • To encourage practical, hands-on experience through curated lab and interactive sessions.

Special Activity – Drone Flying Session Immediately following the data science session, a Drone Flying Workshop was conducted by Tara Mitra Drone Academy.

  • The session introduced students to DGCA-certified drone training programs.
  • Covered legal, technical, and career-oriented aspects of drone operation and policy.
  • Included a live demo where students observed and interacted with drone experts, gaining exposure to real-time drone technology and aerial analytics.

    •  Data-driven decision-making for business
  • Covered data import, transformation, visualization techniques, and real-time business use cases.

  • The certificates were distributed to students on the same day through an innovative method implemented by Abdul Hannan Dalal. He developed a working code that automatically fetched data from Google Forms and generated personalized certificates for each participant. A similar approach was also used during the registration process, where students registered via Google Forms and immediately received a confirmation email containing a unique ID (e.g., VU25MSST-0001), thanks to the automated system.

With expert guidance, effective coordination, and enthusiastic participation, the workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates to all participants, reinforcing a culture of learning and excellence.

The School of Pharmacy, Vishwakarma University, successfully conducted a two-day Fever Awareness and Prevention Drive on 7th and 8th August 2025, in morning session near Aai Mata Chowk, Bibwewadi Pune as part of its offline community outreach initiative to educate the public during the post-monsoon season. The drive aimed to spread awareness about seasonal fevers such as dengue, malaria, and viral fevers, highlighting their symptoms, preventive measures, and the importance of early medical attention. Special emphasis was given to hygiene maintenance, particularly safe storage and handling of water to prevent mosquito breeding. Faculty members Prof. Srinivas Uppu, Prof. Poonam Taru, and Prof. Vishnu Parab, along with D.Pharm and B.Pharm final-year students, actively participated by conducting counselling sessions, distributing informative leaflets, and demonstrating preventive practices. The team interacted with community members in their local language, making the sessions more relatable and impactful. Residents responded positively, showing genuine interest, asking questions, and acknowledging the importance of the information provided. The event not only benefited the community but also enriched the students’ practical understanding of public health engagement, strengthening their commitment to their future roles as responsible healthcare professionals.

Aim/Objective:

  • To explore and understand the historical evolution and architectural characteristics of Pune's core heritage precinct.

  • To study traditional Wada architecture, temple typologies, and colonial influences within the old city fabric.

  • To sensitize students towards the value of urban heritage and its relevance in contemporary architectural education.

 

Important Aspects/Points Of The observation/study:

1. Observed the planning and architectural elements of Wadas, including courtyards, wooden facades, and spatial hierarchy.
2. Noted the integration of religious, residential, and commercial structures within the dense urban grain.
3. Identified active community involvement and the role of local crafts, such as copper work in Tambat Aali, in sustaining heritage character.

 

Brief Description:
A guided heritage walk was organised on 17th July 2025 for fourth-year B.Arch students under the ‘Virasat’ Heritage Club in collaboration with INTACH Pune Chapter. The walk, led by Ar. Jui Tawade, covered prominent heritage landmarks such as Shaniwarwada, Tambat Aali, Kasba Ganpati, Nana Wada, Bhau Rangari Bhavan, Tulshibaug, and Mahatma Phule Mandai. Students observed architectural elements of Wadas, integration of religious and commercial spaces, and traditional crafts like copper work, gaining insights into Pune’s cultural fabric.

Expected Outcome:
Students will develop a deeper understanding of Pune’s heritage precincts, appreciate traditional building typologies, and recognize the importance of integrating cultural heritage into contemporary architectural practices.

The session was delivered by Mr.Digvijay Patil, a doctoral candidate and researcher at IISER Pune. The lecture provided detailed insights into the architectural styles,iconography, and construction techniques of Lonar temples, discussed the geological formation of the Lonar crater and its influence on temple architecture, and highlighted sustainable heritage tourism practices.

Introduction to the Activity


A case study visit was organized to Mind Manifestation Design Studio, an award-winning architectural practice known for its creative and contextual approach to design. The visit was part of the ongoing elective for Third Year architecture students, focused on designing workspaces for artists and creatives. This studio was selected for its innovative spatial organization, material expression, and the way it fosters collaboration and creative thinking—qualities that align closely with the elective's design brief. The students interacted with the studio team and explored how the space supports design processes, communication, and ideation.


Objective Of The Activity:

  • To expose students to a creative work environment and its spatial interpretation through architecture.
  • To study the relationship between design practice and physical space in a studio setting.
  • To observe material usage, spatial zoning, furniture detailing, lighting, and overall ambiance of a design-centric workspace.
  • To encourage students to reflect on how architecture can influence work culture, team dynamics, and creativity.
  • To document and analyze the studio as a case study that will inform and inspire their own workspace design proposals.

The primary objective of the workshop To introduce students to the principles, tools, and applications of parametric design in architecture, enabling them to develop the ability to create responsive, data-driven, and computational design solutions through hands-on exercises and digital modeling techniques.
