National Service Scheme at Vishwakarma University Pune had organized a 7 day Residential Camp for NSS volunteers.
20 volunteers along with Prof. Dr. Kailas Bhosle (Programme Coordinator, NSS) and Asst. Prof. Siddhi Singh (Programme Officer, NSS), participated in activities spread over 7 days in two villages, Mallavli and Mordari.
A session on basic computer knowledge was also conducted for the residents of the village. Post lunch, a village survey was conducted by students in small groups, covering designated parts of the village. A discussion about the collected responses among students took place. They collectively tried to identify the existing issues faced by the residents of the village. The volunteers interacted with the school going children next. The students were asked about the class they are studying, their favourite subjects, their talents, etc. The students were also taught the special NSS clap.

The Visionary Club of the Faculty of Science and Technology orchestrated a remarkable Techfest on November 6, 2023, showcasing the prowess of BTech, BSc, and MSc students in technology. The event, graced by the presence of esteemed faculty members, covered diverse domains like Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), Cybersecurity, and Internet of Things (IoT).
Commencing with a felicitation ceremony, the event expressed gratitude to the honorable Dean S&T, Dr. Nitin Satpute, and HoD AI and Coordinator of the event, Dr. Pratibha Mahajan, presenting saplings as tokens of appreciation. The enthusiastic participation of students and the vibrant atmosphere set the stage for an exciting competition.
The techfest unfolded with the declaration of problem statements to 32 teams, each allocated a creatively decorated room infused with inspirational quotes. Core members and team management ensured the smooth progress of techfest activities, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Ten judges, experts in their respective fields, diligently evaluated the teams' solutions, adding a competitive edge to the event.
The event's climax arrived with the announcement of the top three winning teams in each domain. Dean S&T, Dr. Nitin Satpute, and Associate Dean S&T, Dr. Sanjesh Pawale, HoD Computer Engineering Prof. Tareek Pattewar, and HoD AI Dr. Pratibha Mahajan graced the occasion with their presence, sharing valuable insights and applauding the participants for their exceptional efforts.

The Department of Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence at Vishwakarma University organized a guest session aimed at enlightening TY Computer and AI/DS students on the topic of studying abroad. Coordinated by Prof. Swati Shriyal, the session featured Mr. Rohit Runwal, the founder of Mad Learning, a Learning Hub, and an expert in Aptitude and Digital Marketing.
The session commenced with an introduction by Dr. Sandip Thite, the HOD of the Department of Computer Engineering, highlighting the importance of international education and its impact on students' academic and professional growth. A warm welcome of the Guest speaker was done by Dr. Pratibha Mahajan, the HOD of the Department of Artificial Intelligence. Mr. Rohit Runwal then took the stage, sharing his insights and experiences regarding studying abroad, particularly focusing on the fields of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science.

Meri Maati, Mera Desh - Organized a drive from 12th September to 21st September 2023
The activity was witness to more that 50 students as well as faculty members participating enthusiastically to fill the Amrut Kalash.
The Kalash was submitted at the designated venue, College of Engineering Pune, wherein student volunteers and faculty coordinators of NSS units from various parts of Maharashtra had come to participate in this event. The event was presided over by Shri. J P Nada and Shri. Chandrakant Dada Patil. The Programme Office of NSS VU, Dr. Kailas Bhosle along with a few student volunteers deposited the soil from the Amrut Kalash and submitted the Pot at the designated location.
17th of April is observed as World Hemophilia Day. To help the needy people, School of Pharmacy and NSS unit of Vishwakarma University, in collaboration with Gholap Blood Centre, organised a blood donation camp on Monday, 17th April, 2023. The camp took place in the auditorium of the main building of the University. The function was inaugurated by Dr. Wasudeo Gade, Vice President of the University, in presence of Prof. Kailas Bhosale, NSS coordinator, Prof. Chetan Kapadnis, IQAC Director, Prof. Makarand Puri, HOD of Pharmacy Department, and Dr. Rohidas Gholap, Chairman, Gholap Blood Centre.
The Students and Professors from Vishwakarma University- Centre of Communication for Development, Journalism and mass Communication, National Service Scheme, VU IQUBE made a visit to a place created in the remembrance of our martyrs who sacrifices their life for our freedom called ‘Krantismrutivan’ in the village called Balwadi in Sangli District. In today’s world full of competition and rush, Krantismrutivan has created an inspiring and motivating pathway for today’s generation. There were 24 students accompanied by 4 faculty, out of which 5 students and 1 Faculty was from NSS. We assembled at the Building No.7 of Vishwakarma University by 6.00 am in the morning and we started our journey by 6.30 am. By 8.30 am we took a halt for breakfast and again continued with our journey. By 11.30 am we reached our destination. ‘Mr. Sampatrao Pawar’ the sole and idea behind Krantismrutivan received and welcomed in his beautiful world. Then Mr. Sampatrao and his son briefed us about the beautiful place.
Seva Sandwich Drive conducted on 8th Oct. 2022
The N.S.S. of Vishwakarma University organized an event under the guidance of Dr. Kailas Bhosale, Programme coordinator VU NSS unit on Saturday called “Seva Sandwich Drive” that led the 20 volunteers from the college to make 900 sandwiches and distribute the same among kids in Pune Municipal School - 150B, Aple Ghar Society, Kharadi, Pune.
NSS Volunteers of Vishwakarma University worked on making them as they took part in the sandwich drive enthusiastically.
It was a 2 hour drive where volunteers took initiative with the influence of the leader who was actually the main role of the whole event. Sandwich was made, packed and distributed to 700+ students who gleefully held it in. The greatest accomplishment was the successful completion of our hands holding together to share and care at the same time. This event gave us another chance to look upon and work on this campaign together.d
