Activity Brief: As part of its commitment to social responsibility and community development, the Student Council, in collaboration with Keshu Foundation, organized "Digital Pioneers", a hands-on training workshop aimed at bridging the digital divide and empowering students with essential computing skills. The workshop was conducted by 6 members of the student council, and was aimed at teaching students from slums of Pune about the fundamental components of a computer, providing them with the experience of using essential applications. Kids explored MS Paint and MS Word, learning text formatting, font styles, and alignment techniques. Basic key functions such as cut, copy, and paste, along with their shortcuts, were explained in an interactive manner. Additionally, students engaged with various computer functionalities, enhancing their digital literacy.
This initiative reflects the Student Council’s dedication to fostering inclusive education and equipping underprivileged students with practical knowledge. By making digital tools more accessible, the workshop aimed to boost their confidence in using technology, opening new opportunities for learning and growth in the digital age.
