Industrial visit was organized by Faculty of Commerce and Management for the BBA semester VI and BBA IB semester IV students at Mapro Foods Pvt. Ltd., Wai, Satara on 25th April, 2022.
The primary goal of this industrial visit is to provide the students an insight to how the theoretical concepts are applied in real life business set up. At Mapro Foods Pvt. Ltd., students were first shown the audio visuals on Mapro Story afterwards they visited the food factory. Various production to packaging processes were shown and discussed with the students by the Mapro assistants. The General Manager of the factory interacted with the students and answered their quires related to the company, production and promotion activities. Students gained practical knowledge of operations and supply chain management as well as learned about marketing aspects through this visit.

International Yoga Day is worldwide celebrated on 21st June 2022. On this occasion the Department of Yoga and Naturopathy and National Service Scheme (NSS) has organised the Yoga workshop at Vishwakarma University on 21 June 2022 at 8:00 am to 9:00 am.
Prof. Sanika Bam performed the Yoga Session with the students, Burhanuddin Kanorewala, Adishri Pote, Harshita Jain, and Zainab Parekh. During the session all the participants performed the Sookshma vyayama; Ansnas: Tadasan, Hasthpadasana, Bhujangasana, Shavasana, Makrasana, Setubandhasana, Uttanpadasana, Pawanmuktasana, Chakrasana; Pranayama: Anulom Vilom, Bhramari Pranayama; and Meditations. The program was broadcasted live online and Vishwakarma University students, as well as faculties, performed the yoga activities.
The program was successfully organized by the collaborators Dr. Kailas Bhosale, Dr. Yogesh Suryawanshi, Prof. Siddhi Singh, and, Abhaya Kumar Pradhan. Observing all the protocols, the Teachers, as well as the Non-Teaching staff at Vishwakarma University, Pune celebrated the 75th Independence Day with much panache and joy. Hon. Vice President Prof. (Dr.) Wasudeo Gade set the ceremony in action by paying obeisance to the reverend Bharatmata. Hon. Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Siddharth Jabade then unfurled the tricolor to resounding applause.
Transposing to attention, everyone rendered the National anthem in perfect unison with heads held high and a firm salute expressing the highest order of gratitude. The spirit of freedom from challenging circumstances in today's times was palpable in every note. In his ceremonial address, Hon. VC Prof. (Dr.) Siddharth Jabade appreciated the relentless contribution of every member of the VU family while encouraging all to continue marching with confidence and faith.

Vishwakarma University, Pune, celebrated a glorious virtual convocation for its 2nd graduating batch of students on July 26, 2021. The Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Harvey Stenger (President, Binghamton University, State University of New York) and the Guest of Honour, Mr. Sudhir Mehta (President, MCCIA) attended the convocation, which was presided over by Mr. Bharat Agarwal (President, Vishwakarma University, Pune). It was an emotional event as we celebrated this milestone for all students, applauded the achievers, and wished the students good luck for their journey forward.
Our Honorable Vice Chancellor, Dr. Siddharth Jabade has been invited to be a part of the Vice Chancellor's Summit on 13th May (2pm-3pm) as part of “India's Admission Hunt Series”. On 28th February 2022, Vishwakarma University, Pune celebrated the National Science Day on the theme of ‘Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future.”
The celebration was marked with an insightful session delivered by our Chief Guest, Prof. G.S. Mani, Former Director and Dean, IAT, DRDO, Pune. Prof. Mani, alumnus of MIT Chennai and IIT Delhi, has worked as a scientist with DRDO for over 39 years and has been part of various key projects connected with radar, electronic warfare, and missiles. He is recipient of numerous awards in the field of Science and Technology which include awards from DEMA for encouragement and guidance to manufacturers, Excellence in Education/R&D Trophy by the Governor of Maharashtra, and an award from the President of India.
Prof. Mani, in his session underlined the importance of an integrated approach in science and technology for building a sustainable future. In a very interesting way, he toured the audience through the evolution of the concept of ‘Sustainability’ and its relevance in the current times. He further emphasized that ‘Sustainability’ transcends all disciplines and that it must be the focus in 21st Century than mere industrial developments.
Further the highlight of the session was the interaction with Mr. Nagesh Kini - Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of Vimano EWA Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Kini presented a unique perspective on curiosity and illuminated that how science has been omnipresent in our lives since childhood. Student had a fascinating question-answer round with him.
Vice president of Vishwakarma University Dr Wasudev Gade revisited the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ by mentioning that Dr. C V Raman conducted his research in bare minimum resources. Hence, with the development and access to so many resources, the student researchers must keep their goals high and strive to achieve them.
Dr Nitin Satpute, Dean-Faculty of Science and Technology, Prof. Maya Kurulekar, Head-Department of Engineering Scinces, Prof. Mrunmai Ranade and Prof. Sonali Botkar convened and coordinated this celebration. Poster Making Competition, Inustry 4.0 based Quiz Competition were also organized to encourage student engagement. Despite being a digital event, National Science Day received an enthusiastic response from students and academia.
