Guest: Prof. Shekhar Paigude
Brief: The event was organized by the Electoral Literacy Wing to educate students about their electoral rights and the importance of participating in the democratic process. The workshop featured a guest speaker, Prof. Shekhar Paigude, who shared his expertise on electoral background and rights. The workshop began with a brief introduction to the topic, followed by a discussion on the significance of voting in India. Prof. Paigude highlighted the various factors to be considered while casting a vote and addressed the vulnerability of young voters to manipulation. The students actively participated in the discussion, asking questions and sharing their perspectives. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks to Prof. Paigude for his valuable insights. The event was deemed successful, as it encouraged students to understand their electoral responsibilities and participate in the democratic process.
OBJECTIVE: The workshop aimed to educate students about their electoral rights and the importance of participating in the democratic process. Given that many students were not registered voters, the focus was on encouraging them to register and understand the significance of their vote.
