Objective of the Program
The objective of this volunteering activity was to support public authorities in ensuring the
smooth and safe conduct of an international sporting event while inculcating discipline, civic
responsibility, and public service values among NSS volunteers.
Details of the Program
NSS volunteers from Vishwakarma University actively participated in the Closing Event of the
Bajaj Pune Grand Tour 2026, an international-level cycling event. The volunteers reported at
Lashkar Police Chowki and were briefed by police personnel regarding their responsibilities.
The volunteers assisted the Pune Police and Road Traffic Police in crowd management,
traffic coordination, route guidance, and public assistance, ensuring safety and orderly
movement of participants and spectators.
The activity was carried out under the supervision of Madhuri Marathe Ma’am and Program
Officer Jayesh Baldota Sir, with disciplined and enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers
and the Student Representative, Neil Tiwari.
