Design education at the Department of Design, Vishwakarma University is all-encompassing and coexists in an active triadic relationship with design education, design research and design practises. Pedagogy, followed in the design domain, explores various dimensions in exploratory research and innovation in a defined process. Creative practices at the department entail a strong connection between the hand, the mind and the eyes. This critical approach to design demands clear conceptual thinking, along with the skills and craftsmanship to translate ideas into a tangible experience. The department endeavours to promote long-term interaction and develop a symbiotic relationship between academia, live industry projects and government bodies.
Design education at Vishwakarma University strives to develop and emerge with innovation as per changing times applicable to industry needs by collaborating and involving industry experts with various disciplines in totality. We prepare students to face industry challenges in the most innovative manner to meet industry needs and sustainable approaches locally and globally.
Students being given the opportunity to interact through seminars and workshops gives a tangible outcome to students work related to changing trends and needs in the industry as a whole. I strongly believe that the approach followed is universally accepted in design outcomes which proves the way we see our students are placed in the industry in the diversified field.
