Overview

The MBA programme is designed to provide a holistic view of business along with essential knowledge in its functional areas. The focus is on developing the necessary analytical skills, interpersonal skills along with data management and diagnostic problem-solving skills, essential for managerial and business decision-making.

MBA programme at VU builds a holistic perspective through dynamic learning model and through practical experience is an integral part of MBA. Admission to our university will ensure theoretical and practical learning takes place in a true multi-disciplinary environment that deepens connections between domains and promote overall learning.

The structure of the MBA course structure is designed to give students the best corporate exposure. The classroom teaching helps them to become the leaders of tomorrow, in the specialization of their choice.

Vishwakarma University’s Faculty of Commerce & Management is providing courses of TCS iON Industry Honour Course to the MBA second year Finance specialization students on Fintech Primer.

Fintech Primer course will help students understand disruptions in the Fintech industry across a broad cross-section of products and services, from traditional banking to Blockchain. The goal for students is to create an action plan to foster innovation in ones organisation. Students will learn how Fintech can help them reach untapped markets, reduce costs, create economies of scale, and improve customer experience.

Fintech Primer is a course that covers critical aspects of Fintech along with the understanding of prominent technologies such as API, Blockchain, AI, Machine Learning, RPA, IoT, Big Data and Data Analytics, Cyber Security, and more. The course will help students stay updated on the latest Fintech industry trends and practices by accessing resources powered by research and experience of teachers


 
Outcome On successful completion of the MBA program at VU (C&M) the student will be able to :
1 Professionally demonstrate understanding of business environment and application of multifunctional domain knowledge with available resources.
2 Compute numbers, ratios, indicators, and infer upon data, statements, reports, trends, and patterns leading to business intelligence.

It is with pride and pleasure, VU would like to announce its recently achieved success in one of the international rankings published by U Multirank. U-Multirank announced the results of its annual cycle of ‘World Rankings of Universities’ for 2019-20 on 09th June 2020 in which VU has made a positive impact.

Amongst total 1759 participants (Universities & Higher Educational Institutions) from 92 Countries with 15 participants from India, VU has achieved this remarkable success. Participants from India were Universities and Higher Educational Institutions including IITs (Mumbai, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee), the University of Delhi and Banaras Hindu University, AIIMS- Delhi, Anna University and others. Amongst the total participants, VU remained to be the youngest one.

Along with the other Programmes, the Faculty of Commerce and Management (C&M) with its MBA, BBA and BBA-IB programmes represented VU and participated for the first time in such kind of internationally acclaimed survey. With the extensive assessment by the U-Multirank research team, several iteration processes in the submission of inputs by VU and review by U-Multirank, authorities benchmarked VU on parameters namely Teaching & Learning, Research, International Orientation, Regional Engagement and Knowledge Transfer.

VU was adjudged ‘Very Good’ in 2 out of the 5 identified parameters. VU scored high on indicators such as graduating on time, student internships in the region, student to faculty ratio, student engagement, teaching-learning and contact with the work environment.

The results bear testimony to the proven track record and the coordinated teamwork by VU. In the coming years, VU aims to participate in many such national and international assessments / certifications / surveys wherein the academic and non-academic performances of VU will be judged and recognized.

Passed Bachelor Degree (Graduate) of minimum 3 years duration, under any discipline, securing 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination, from a recognized university.
