Inter-Department Football Tournament held on 31st Oct & 1st Nov 2025 at Musclebar Sports Club, Undri was a great success. A total of 26 teams (boys & girls) participated, displaying excellent teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship. The event was efficiently organized under the Physical Education & Sports Section, with strong support from the Sports Wing of the Student Council.
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics organized a Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) on Friday, 07th November 2025, with the primary objective of strengthening the communication between parents and the department regarding the academic progress of students.
The meeting was part of Vishwakarma University’s ongoing efforts to maximize human potential and maintain a transparent and supportive educational environment. The PTM was conducted under the leadership of the Department Head, Dr. Jagadish V.Tawade, and in the esteemed presence of the class teachers Dr. Mahfooz Alam, Dr. Richa Panchgaur, Dr. Raeesa Bashir, and Dr. Sanjay Kumar Pal.
The Parent-Teacher Meeting was organized with the following key objectives:

The meeting also provided a valuable platform for parents to interact directly with faculty members and share constructive feedback on the curriculum, assessment methods, and student
support initiatives.
The meeting commenced at 3:00 PM with a welcome address by Dr. Jagadish V. Tawade, HOD of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.He emphasized the vital role of parental involvement in shaping a student's academic journey and highlighted the initiatives undertaken by the department to ensure quality education. Subsequently, the class teachers Dr. Mahfooz Alam, and Dr. Richa Panchgaur individually shared detailed academic reports and feedback about students’ performance.Each parent was given time for one-on-one interaction with the faculty members, ensuring personalized discussions.
During the interactive session, parents actively participated and shared valuable feedback,with most queries centering around examination-related aspects. The major points discussed

Parents requested a more comprehensive explanation of the overall evaluation system, including the role of internal assessments, assignments, and semester-end examinations.
Several parents expressed a desire for greater transparency in the marking process and a clear breakdown of marks awarded during internal assessments.
Parents emphasized the importance of announcing examination schedules well in advance to help students plan their studies and manage time efficiently.
Some parents suggested organizing extra tutorials, mentoring sessions, or subject-specific remedial classes to assist students who require additional academic support.
A few parents highlighted the increasing academic pressure faced by students and recommended introducing counseling sessions or stress-relief workshops before examination periods.
Faculty members carefully considered each concern and assured parents that constructive steps would be taken to enhance transparency, communication, and student well-being in future academic practices.
Based on the feedback received, the Department has planned the following steps:
The department assured that all efforts will be made to create a more supportive environment for the students to excel academically and mentally.
The Parent-Teacher Meeting concluded successfully at 5:00 PM. It served as a platform for open and constructive dialogue between parents and faculty members.
The active participation of the parents and the meaningful discussions highlighted the mutual commitment towards the academic and personal growth of the students.

The program aimed to provide students with essential knowledge and hands-on experience in emerging technologies such as data science, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. It also sought to enhance practical problem-solving abilities by enabling students to work on real-world projects using IBM Watson Studio and related platforms. Furthermore, the program integrated practical exposure with academic learning to ensure students are aligned with current industry practices and technological trends. Ultimately, it aimed to prepare students to gain a competitive edge in the job market by equipping them with relevant skills, project-based experience, and exposure to widely used tools in the digital workforce. The session focused on exploring the IBM Cloud Platform and its wide range of services. It began with an introduction to cloud computing and IBM Cloud services, followed by insights into Artificial Intelligence through the IBM course Getting Started with AI.

The event was organized by the Training and Placement Cell in collaboration with the Department of Artificial Intelligence, Faculty of Science & Technology, Vishwakarma University.The session was conducted by Aditya Dambale and Rohidas Shelar who guided students on The IBM SkillsBuild for College program provided students with access to the IBM Cloud platform, enabling them to gain hands-on experience with cloud-based applications widely used across industries. The training focused on emerging technologies such as data science, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, ensuring that students acquired knowledge in high-demand domains. A practical learning approach was adopted through a blend of online courses, interactive sessions, and real-world projects using IBM Watson Studio, which helped students strengthen their problem-solving and analytical skills. Participants were introduced to Large Language Models (LLMs), prompting techniques, and data analytics. The hands-on activities included crop recommendation using Watson Machine Learning with AutoAI, creating Jupyter notebooks with IBM Watson Studio, data refinement using IBM Data Refinery, and building a chatbot for college admissions with Watsonx Assistant. Additional sessions covered Prompt Lab with IBM Granite LLM, Agentic AI, and a discussion on IBM Events and Project-Based Learning (PBL), providing practical exposure to real-world AI and cloud applications.

The event tested strategy, concentration, and composure as students battled through knockout rounds. Featuring 14 departmental teams, the Volleyball Tournament 2025 showcased athleticism, coordination, and teamwork at its best. Both boys’ and girls’ categories witnessed fierce competition and close contests. The vibrant energy from players and spectators made the one-day event a standout success. Beyond the matches, the tournament promoted collaboration, fitness, and the unifying spirit of sports across the VU community.
The Kabaddi Tournament 2025 captured the essence of traditional Indian sport with intensity and pride. Over 220 participants from various departments competed across two action-packed days filled with power, agility, and tactical brilliance. The event encouraged fitness, camaraderie, and cultural appreciation, drawing enthusiastic support from students and faculty alike. The grand finale marked a memorable conclusion to this spirited inter-departmental showdown.
The Inter-Department Basketball Tournament 2025 brought together student athletes from across departments for two thrilling days of competition and teamwork. Over 130 players showcased their skill, speed, and strategy, cheered on by an energetic crowd. The matches highlighted the importance of unity, sportsmanship, and perseverance—values central to the spirit of VU. The event concluded with spectacular finals that celebrated excellence both on and off the court.
