Overview- Vishwakarma University proudly hosted the Maker Lab on Wheels, an innovative initiative brought to campus through our exciting collaboration with Infosys Springboard. The event took place from April 3rd to April 9th, offering our first-year students a unique, hands-on learning experience designed to foster creativity, technical skills, and exposure to emerging technologies.

The Maker Lab on Wheels is a mobile innovation lab that brings cutting-edge tools and technology directly to students, enabling them to explore and experiment with concepts central to Industry 4.0—including automation, IoT, robotics, and more. Over the course of the week, students engaged in various interactive workshops and demonstrations, gaining practical insights that complement their academic curriculum.

This initiative marks a significant step in our commitment to experiential learning and industry-academia collaboration. We are sincerely grateful to Infosys Springboard for making this possible and for their continued dedication to empowering future innovators.

World Water Day

Speaker- Dr. Ravindra Utgikar (Vice President Project Sales), Mr. Ravindra Ulangawar (National Head of Water Management Buisness), Mr. Mukul Pendse from Wilo group and Mr. Shrikant Gabale (Managing Director – Graphias Solutions Pvt Ltd), Prof. Wasudeo Gade (Vice President Vishwakarma University),.

Overview : The primary objective was the statistics of water availability and its significance to find solutions to use it, was elaborated by Guest of Honor Ravindra Ulangwar.

The students of FY btech have demonstrated their projects completed from the subject of Introduction to Microcontroller Programming and based on sustainable use of water under the guidance of FY btech faculties. These projects are well appreciated by guests. 

The moderator Prof. Mrunmai Ranade has set the platform for Panel discussion with the members Mr. Ravindra Ulangwar, Mr. Shrikant Gabale, Prof. Umesh Patwardhan on the topic ‘Community involvement in Water conservation’. The competition based on Energy Literacy Training for SY Computer Engineering & AI students and Aqua Logic for FY students has provided the opportunity to undergo platforms like Energy Swaraj Foundation and Indiabiz. All the activities were about creating awareness about SDG 6,7,14 to sensitise students.

All winners and volunteers were felicitated to become motivation for others.

National Science Day -2025

Overview:


The day featured engaging activities including expert talks, a project exhibition, and multiple competitions. The project demonstration session provided a platform for students to present working models and prototypes addressing real-world challenges through advanced technologies such as AI, IoT, and Web Development.


  - Artificial Intelligence (AI): Teams designed AI-based solutions to tackle real-world issues such as predicting climate changes, optimizing energy use, and improving waste management. The goal was to create smarter, data-driven approaches to sustainability.
   - Internet of Things (IoT): Participants built smart systems using sensors and automation to improve daily life. Projects included smart farming tools, air quality monitors, and automated systems for efficient resource management. These solutions aimed to make cities and industries more eco-friendly.
   - Web Development: Teams developed web applications focused on sustainability, such as platforms for tracking environmental impact, online solutions for reducing waste, and tools to raise awareness about sustainable practices. The emphasis was on creating user-friendly and impactful digital solutions.  


Each track encouraged participants to collaborate, think critically, and innovate, providing hands-on experience with industry-relevant technologies while addressing some of the most pressing global sustainability issues. The hackathon not only fostered technical skill development but also instilled a sense of social responsibility in the participants.


Competitions such as Dangal, Maze Maverick, Hackathon, and Hackerrank tested participant's technical skills and problem-solving abilities, enhancing their practical learning experience.
A total of 38 teams participated across different tracks, with each team comprising four students. The industry guest appreciated the student's work and encouraged them to pursue their ideas further for future prospects. All winners and volunteers were felicitated to become motivation for others.
