17^th of April is observed as World Hemophilia Day. To help the needy people, School of Pharmacy and NSS unit of Vishwakarma University, in collaboration with Gholap Blood Centre, organised a blood donation camp on Monday, 17^th April, 2023. The camp took place in the auditorium of the main building of the University. The function was inaugurated by Dr. Wasudeo Gade, Vice President of the University, in presence of Prof. Kailas Bhosale, NSS coordinator, Prof. Chetan Kapadnis, IQAC Director, Prof. Makarand Puri, HOD of Pharmacy Department, and Dr. Rohidas Gholap, Chairman, Gholap Blood Centre.

Seva Sandwich Drive conducted on 8th Oct. 2022

The N.S.S. of Vishwakarma University organized an event  under the guidance of Dr. Kailas Bhosale, Programme coordinator VU NSS unit on Saturday called “Seva Sandwich Drive” that led the 20 volunteers from the college to make 900 sandwiches and distribute the same among kids in Pune Municipal School - 150B, Aple Ghar Society, Kharadi, Pune.
NSS Volunteers of Vishwakarma University worked on making them as they took part in the sandwich drive enthusiastically.
It was a 2 hour drive where volunteers took initiative with the influence of the leader who was actually the main role of the whole event. Sandwich was made, packed and distributed to 700+ students who gleefully held it in. The greatest accomplishment was the successful completion of our hands holding together to share and care at the same time. This event gave us another chance to look upon and work on this campaign together.d

ACTIVITY: Cleanliness drive and fit india campaign.

VENUE: Vishwakarma university campus to upper depot bus stop and fire brigade office  DATE: 14/10/2022.

The NSS unit of Vishwakarma university has taken  cleanliness drives inside as well as outside of the university campus. During this activity  volunteers cleaned the upper depot bus stop and fire brigade station area. All volunteers picked plastic bottles and waste papers from the upper depot bus stop and also cleaned the whole area. The main objective of the cleanliness drive was to address the issues of public hygiene,public sanitation,and to create awareness among the people towards cleanliness in public places.

International Yoga Day was Celebrated on 21st June 2022, through hybrid mode

SWASTHA BALAK BALIKA SPARDHA, from 8th to 10th January, 2022.

In this regard our NSS Team was requested to conduct the Swasth Balak- Balika Spardha by organizing various activities on the subject and sending a consolidated report.

The objective of the National Service Scheme is “development of the personality of students through community service”. This objective is sought to be achieved by enabling the students to work in community. The programme aims to inculcate social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias. NSS volunteers work to ensure that everyone who is needy gets help to enhance their standard of living and lead a life of dignity. In doing so, volunteers learn from people in villages how to lead a good life despite a scarcity of resources. It also provides help in natural and man-made disasters by providing food, clothing and first aid to the disaster victims.

The National Service Scheme organozed a cultural event in the Campus for teaching staff, non-

teaching staff, helpers, care-takers and students of Vishwakarma University with the theme of women empowerment on 8th Mar 2022.During that event various activities organized such as  a dance group performed on the theme of Women Empowerment/Acid Attack/Sexual harassment and other issues of general importance and a Music Group performed on the theme of importance of Gender Neutrality and Preventing Gender Bias by portraying women in various roles. The event was  managed by Prof. Reena Pandey, Director, Student Welfare, Prof. Kailas Bhosale, Programme Coordinator, NSS , Prof. Siddhi Singh, Programme Officer, NSS, Prof. Abhay Pradhan, Programme Officer, NSS and Volunteers of NSS

Flexes, Posters and Google form were circulated amongst people before three days of the event. There were total 5 flexes. The flexes were placed at 7 loves Chowk, Suyog Center Chowk, Gangadham Chowk, City Pride Chowk and at Adinath society. Posters and google form were digitally circulated amongst the people.
