MANDALA PAINTING WORKSHOP

The Mandala Painting Workshop aimed to introduce students to the ancient art form of mandala, known for its geometric patterns and spiritual symbolism. Beyond the artistic aspect, the workshop focused on fostering creativity, mindfulness, and an appreciation for the meditative qualities of mandala painting.

Learning Highlights:

  1. Mandala Origins: Understanding the historical and cultural roots of mandala art across various traditions.
  2. Geometric Patterns: Exploring the intricate geometric patterns and designs associated with mandalas.
  3. Color Symbolism: Learning about the significance of colors in mandala art and their impact on mood and perception.

WARLI PAINTING WORKSHOP

Objective:

The workshop aimed to introduce students to the traditional art form of Warli painting, originating from the Warli tribe in Maharashtra. Beyond the artistic aspect, the workshop aimed to foster an appreciation for cultural heritage and provide students with a hands-on experience in this unique form of expression.

Learning Highlights:

  1. Cultural Context: Understanding the historical and cultural significance of Warli art within the context of Indian traditions.
  2. Techniques and Styles: Exploring the techniques and distinctive styles that define Warli paintings.
  3. Hands-on Experience: Engaging in practical sessions, allowing students to create their own Warli art pieces under the guidance of Prof. Amruta Gangakhedkar.

Visionary Techfest '24 was a testament to the commitment of Vishwakarma University to fostering technological innovation and providing a platform for students to showcase their talents.

Highlights of Visionary Techfest '24:

Cutting-Edge Projects: Participants presented a diverse range of projects encompassing fields such as Internet of Things, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Design and Thinking reflecting the latest trends and advancements in technology.

Sessions by Binghamton University representatives: The event featured enlightening sessions by esteemed speakers, including Madhusudhan Govindaraju (Vice Provost for International Education and Global Affairs) and Michael Testani (Senior Director of Outreach & Engagement) providing valuable insights into the ever-evolving world of technology.

Competitions and Challenges: Techfest witnessed intense competitions, challenging participants to apply their skills in real-world scenarios. The innovative solutions presented were commendable.

Vishwaayan Sports Fest 2024

Date - 24 th February 2024

The much-awaited sports fest “Vishwaayan Sports Fest” has been started from 24th February 2024. Several indoor activities like chess, carom and Table Tennis were conducted on inaugural day. The participating players were encouraged and cheered throughout the matches. Approx 120 students showcased a great sense of discipline and mastery of skill achieved through months of hard work. The spirit of sportsmanship was in the air. Many more sports events will be conducted in upcoming weeks.



Date - 2nd March 2024

Event – Badminton

Badminton matches were conducted on Saturday, 2nd March 2024. Almost 150 students were participated with full enthusiasm and sportsman spirit. Approx 140 matches were played on three wooden courts in a day.











Date – 16th & 17th March 2024

Event – Cricket

Cricket tournament were conducted on 16th and 17th March 2024. Almost 340 students were participated and 32 matches were played.













Date – 22nd & 23rd March 2024

Event – Football & Volleyball

Football and Volleyball tournament were conducted on 22nd and 23rd March 2024. Almost 210 students were participated and 20 matches were played.





























Date – 29th March 2024

Event – Prize distribution ceremony for all the events

All the winners and Runners were awarded with trophies and medals on the Final day of “Vishwaayan 2024” 29th March 2024.

On 30/1/2024 Department of Computer Science organized a guest lecture on “Opportunities for Higher Studies Abroad and the Process” to provide students with valuable insights into the myriad possibilities available for pursuing advanced education internationally.

Ms. Monika Zadke was the guest of honour having 8 years of experience in Overseas Education Consulting, Envision. The speaker elucidated the diverse academic programs, scholarships, and research opportunities offered by universities abroad, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the potential avenues for higher studies. Additionally, the lecture meticulously detailed the application procedures, visa requirements, and essential steps involved in the process of pursuing education overseas. The audience gained a nuanced perspective on the benefits of studying abroad and left the session equipped with crucial information to navigate the intricate journey of higher education in foreign countries.
