In order to raise awareness about the advanced manufacturing techniques and processes in B.Tech. students, a visit was planned to Auto Cluster Development and Research Institute Ltd in Pimpri on 21st November 2017. The students were divided into six groups, each guided by personnel of Autocluster.
Students visited the following advanced manufacturing facilities-
| Rapid Prototyping shop: The facility involves 2 different 3-D printers
- SLS Machine: Material used is polyamide
- FDM Machine: Material used is ABS, PC, PC-ABS
| 5 axis Laser Cutting machine suitable for MS, Aluminium alloys, stainless steel
| Prototype Production Facility Centre: It is equipped with machines suitable for manufacturing complicated dies, molds, toolings, inspection rigs to meet the various requirments of small and medium scale industries. It included Vertical Machining Centres and 2 Coordinate Measuring Machines

| Endurance testing lab Later, a presentation was given to the students by the company personnel about various courses and learning opportunities for students available at Autocluster.
